ACT 6: Teacher & Parent Training

(1) Teacher Training

Everyday teachers have a large impact on the children in their care.  It is important that teachers manage children in ways that build their self-esteem, love for learning and teach respect.  Teachers treasure new and creative strategies to increase children’s learning and foster their independence in the classroom and at home.  Plus, teachers often ask for help in handling stress.

The Psychologie, a division of ACTs of life enjoys teaming with teachers to explore new teaching strategies, practice positive discipline techniques and “jazz-up” the curriculum to maintain children’s interests days after day.

Here are a few of the creative workshops for teachers.

  • Positive Strategies for Managing Behaviour in the Classroom
  • How to Build the Self-esteem of Every Child - All Day Long!
  • Simple and Sure Stress Management Techniques to stay Cool
  • 10 Ways to “Jazz-up” Your Teaching and Increase Student Learning

(2) Parent Training

Working parents often have a hectic life trying to manage responsibilities of work, family and community.  Yet, parents want their children to be confident, have friends, make good marks and be respectful. Acts of Life knows that children with high self-esteem earn better marks and are more successful in school – all the way to graduate school!

To help busy parents, ACTs of life offers Parenting Workshops that guide parents to strengthen their parenting skills, learn practical behaviour management skills, practice new ways to solve parenting problems, and learn from other parents who have children of similar ages.

Below is a list of popular topics that are available on an as scheduled basis.
